The clay classes are designed to grow children's love of creating in clay by emphasizing personal creativity to create sculptures and pottery. Students will explore clay through pinching, coiling, and slab building. All work will be glazed and fired in a kiln.

The older class will create a character (animal or human) using slabs. We will also make Christmas ornaments and if there is time we will make a pot or vase from coils.

The younger class will make Christmas ornaments, cups from coils and pinch pots and maybe a whistle.
